Meta launched smart glasses in the year 2021. Concerns have been raised from the beginning about the ability of these glasses to film people without their knowledge. Recently, two engineers from Harvard University, Anhphu Nguyen and Ken Ardyfio, have developed a system called Eye-Xray in an experiment, which has further increased the capabilities of the glasses.
This system uses AI and facial recognition software. Engineers claim that now the glasses can instantly reveal the data of any unknown person just by looking at his face. This data can include the identity of the person, home or office address and other personal information. Engineers have assured that their aim behind developing Eye-Xray is not to misuse the glasses.
