New Delhi | GST’s gross revenue collection in October rose 9% to Rs 1.87 lakh crore due to higher revenue from domestic transactions. This is the highest in six months. According to data released on Friday, Central GST collection in October was Rs 33,821 crore, State GST Rs 41,864 crore, Integrated GST Rs 99,111 crore and cess Rs 12,550 crore.
GST collection was Rs 1.72 lakh crore in the same period a year ago. According to the data, GST collection from domestic transactions increased by 10.6% to Rs 1.42 lakh crore. Tax on imports increased by about 4% to Rs 45,096 crore during October, 2024. Refunds of Rs 19,306 crore were issued in October, which is 18.2% more than the same period last year.
