iPhone sales in China fell 0.3% in July-September

Apple’s iPhone sales declined in July-September due to intensifying competition in China, the world’s largest smartphone market. At the same time, rival Huawei’s sales increased by 42%. Apple’s market share fell by 0.3% to 15.6%, while Huawei’s market share increased by 42% to 15.3%. Another Chinese company Vivo topped the list with 18.6% market share. Its market share increased by 21.5%. Overall, smartphone sales in China grew by 3.2% in July-September. This information has come to light from a report by market research firm IDC. According to this, Huawei’s Mate 60 series and Pura 70 models have intensified competition in the smartphone market. Huawei has returned to the premium segment with its Mate 60 series, while the Pura 70 model was launched earlier this year. On the other hand, American company Apple has faced additional challenges in China. This includes restrictions on the use of the iPhone by government agencies.
